Operator Training and More

Here is just a sample of a segment of the operator training we provide.

How to perform daily checks on a JCB 3CX Backhoe Loader.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires proper training and certification for much of the heavy equipment on the market today. We provide training for construction equipment, Forklifts, and Aerial Platform Lifts. Doing so helps ensure safety in today’s rigorous and dangerous environments, reducing workplace injury. Since we are a one-stop equipment shop, not only does Liftech sell and service equipment, but we also offer professional forklift training.

Great news. Liftech now offers a “OSHA 10 HOUR SAFETY CONSTRUCTION COURSE”. As an OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer Jeff Hauser can come to your facility, job site or set your team up in our training center to complete the OSHA 10 Hour Safety Construction course. The OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry level construction worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site.jcb3

In addition, we will also have a few open enrollment classes in the near future that you or your employees can join in on. If you would like to book a class or simply get more information, please contact us.

Chapter 282 of the Laws of 2007, codified as Labor Law 220-h took effect on July 18, 2008. The statute provides as follows:

The advertised specifications for every contract for public work of $250,000.00 or more must contain a provision requiring that every worker employed in the performance of a public work contract shall be certified as having completed an OSHA 10 safety training course. The clear intent of this provision is to require that all employees of public work contractors, required to be paid prevailing rates, receive such training “prior to the performing any work on the contract.”

This training is in addition to the operator certification and authorization training we offer for Aerial Equipment, Telehandlers, Skid Steers, Loaders, Backhoes and more.

Please note according to OSHA your equipment must have operator’s manuals with the equipment. It is not acceptable to have the manual stored in a nearby office, file cabinet library. Your employees need this information for safe operation of the equipment. You can be fined for non-compliance. Also, you may be subject to OSHA citations and fines if the warning labels, decals and or data tag information are not legible. It is not acceptable that they are in place if they are not legible. We can help you replace these manuals, warning labels, decals and or data tags.
