Liftech Equipment Cos, Inc . is an Industrial/Capital/Construction Equipment Dealer with multiple locations that give us the opportunity to cover equipment parts, sales and service needs of a customer base spanning New York State and W. Vermont. Liftech Equipment represents several high-end brands of material handling equipment, to include Hyster & YALE forklift trucks , various high-profile capital and construction equipment manufacturers, JCB, Doosan , and Trackmobile Railcar Movers , to name just a few.

Liftech is actively seeking a Warranty-Billing Specialist , a position that is based at our corporate office in East Syracuse. This organized individual will be responsible for processing a high volume of warranty and fleet claims while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, communication and processing. Must be able to prioritize a diverse workload and shift attention to time sensitive items. Training will be hands on and candidate should come with experience in MS Office, specifically intermediate level use of Excel and Word. Desired experience with any type of warranty claims processing, billing and reconciliation.

Responsibilities and Duties

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Thorough and timely review of service warranty claims, gather, interpret and translate work done in preparation for claim submission
  • Determination of warrantable work and proper guidance of billing options when work is not warrantable
  • Prepare and submit claims based on manufacturer requirements
  • Executes timely work order maintenance and closing based on stage of claim
  • Identify, research and provide assistance to staff as needed to resolve various problems
  • Manage parts return notification based on manufacturer requirements to avoid claim chargebacks
  • Champion of the claims escalation process, understand and pursues resolution to maximize claim outcomes
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all manufacturers that puts the company in the most beneficial claim recovery position
  • Establish strong working relationships with all functional areas and collaborate as needed on claim related tasks
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of current warranty requirements, fleet agreements and policy requirements
  • Consistent and accurate accounting of claim status with follow through to claim resolution and reconciliation
  • Provide accurate tracking and reporting that allows for claim evaluation to quantify occurrences, identify trends and causes that ensures corrective action is implemented
  • Ability to perform against established warranty metrics to support the achievement of company objectives
