Job Description

Liftech Equipment Companies is the place to be in the construction equipment field if you are a motivated, self-directed individual with sales experience to satisfactorily represent premier lines of construction equipment. Outside sales and rentals of JCB Construction Equipment and various other best of breed lines, coupled with the professional ability to provide equipment solutions is your opportunity for success in the territory canvassing Rochester and the surrounding area.

This position is based in Rochester, will report to the Field Sales Manager and must consistently meet or exceed all sales budgets/goals on all products assigned. Sales Professionals are expected to possess a high level of product, competitive, customer and territory knowledge. Strong candidates must possess the ability to sell to an established customer base and effectively prospect new accounts.

Specific Job Details/Requirements :

  • Territory will cover Rochester and the surrounding area
  • Extensive local travel required to maintain regularly scheduled visits to existing and potential customers.
  • Set up appointments with customers, planning efficient use of time and management of expenses.
  • Provide daily verbal reports on noteworthy issues.
  • College degree
  • Two plus years of successful sales or industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical product related information.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze and act upon sales data within an assigned geography.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion and to analyze and address territory opportunities by building key customer relationships.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in business software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel) and past experience with Sales Force or GoldMine helpful, but not necessary.
  • Solid written verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to travel extensively.
